Part of Hearthstone’s founding team, other members call her “a visionary,” saying that she “is the one who got this thing going. She’s a dynamo. ... She doesn’t see any obstacles, she booms right past them.” Meadows is a physician’s assistant who worked in the emergency room in Ukiah for two decades; at Hearthstone, she played a critical role in the development of the El Cardonal project and the RMOF partnership. While she left the board in 2018 to oversee an outpatient palliative care project in Mendocino County, no matter the project, her commitment is characterized by “all-in and then some.” She says, “I’m a community organizer, I can’t stop myself. I want to bring people together.”
