We Are Hearthstone Village
Hearthstone Village started in Mendocino County in Northern California yet our board members and volunteers are across the U.S. Our mission is based on volunteerism and that special joy we all get when we give from our hearts. The blend of Mendocino County, Mexico, and Haiti really define who we are as an organization.
Our all-volunteer board and community of volunteers engage in projects that involve frequent trips to Haiti and Mexico as well as organizing fundraisers throughout the year in Northern California and on-line. These include seasonal events, auctions and intimate gatherings. These photos are of some the volunteers and board members contributing their time and energy to our projects.
We became a 501c3 in 2003.
Our Mission
The mission of Hearthstone Village is to support education, nutrition and healthcare for communities in need, with the communities desired outcomes at the center of our work. Ultimately, it is our dream that our efforts helps these communities break the cycles of poverty.
Current Projects
Currently, we support the education and nutrition of over 30 girls in an orphanage community in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and we continue to support a medical clinic/community center we founded in rural Baja Mexico which serves many outlying communities.
